PURPOSE: A method for an economical extraction of lithium from a lithium containing solution is provided to economically extract lithium at a high collection rate without evaporation and a concentration process of salty water lasting for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A method for an economical extraction of lithium from a solution including lithium comprises the following steps: a core particle is injected in a lithium containing solution; a dissolution lithium is segregated as a lithium phosphate by inserting a phosphate feeding material into a lithium-containing solution in which the core particle is put into; a specific surface area of the core particle is more than 1 m 2 /g; a specific surface area of the core particle is more than 1 to 100 m 2 /g; an administration amount of the core particle is less than 20 g/L; and a grain size of the core particle is less than 100μm.
