PURPOSE: A method for efficiently measuring energy of a mobile terminal and a position data management method thereof are provided to calculate position data by using a wireless signal for measurement received from an external device. CONSTITUTION: A wireless signal including data related to a position of a mobile terminal is periodically received. Current position data of the mobile terminal is calculated based on the wireless signal (S504). A movement distance is calculated by using a difference between the current position data and position data of a cycle. Whether the movement distance exceeds a stoppage determination threshold value is determined (S512). Only when movement distance is lower than the stoppage determination threshold value, a position confirmation cycle is increased (S520).
