PURPOSE: An electric dust collecting device based on electromagnetic radiation and an air purifier including the same are provided to increase a charging rate of dust particles and to prevent the generation of secondary pollutants which are harmful to human bodies. CONSTITUTION: An electric dust collecting device consists of a charging unit (10) and a dust collecting unit (20). The charging unit charges dust particles in the air by radiating plenty of electrons. The dust collecting unit collects the dust particles which are charged using electrical attractions. An extension path (15) is arranged between the charging unit and dust collecting unit in order to sufficiently contact electrons with the dust particles. The extension path is in a meander form.
