TRANSFER DEVICE OF MOORING ROPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device for safely and efficiently feeding out a mooring rope with weight of a considerably large weight being connected to its fore end from a ship into the sea, or pulling up the mooring rope from the sea onto the ship.SOLUTION: The transfer device 1 feeds out the mooring rope 4 with the weight being connected to its fore end from a ship into the sea, or pulls up the mooring rope onto the ship from the sea. The transfer device includes: a main machine 5 having a first holding means 6 to hold part of the mooring rope extending in an approximately horizontal direction on the ship; and a movable machine 7 having a second holding means 8 for holding the other part of the mooring rope at the position separate from the main machine to repeat the reciprocating motion in the transferring direction of the mooring rope. The transfer device feeds out or pulls up the mooring rope with the weight being connected to the fore end thereof by repeating a step in which the main machine releases the first holding means and the movable machine moves to transfer the mooring rope while holding the mooring rope by means of the second holding means, and a step in which the main machine holds the mooring rope by means of the first holding means, and the movable machine releases the second holding means to move and return to the position before the transfer of the mooring rope.
