PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latent heat exchanger that has high heat efficiency, and a water heater.SOLUTION: A latent heat exchanger 1 including: a casing 2 having a back wall 11, a front wall 12, a bottom wall 13, one sidewall 14, the other sidewall 15, and a top plate 40; and a heat absorption pipe 50 having a piping structure in which a straight pipe part 51, a one-side arcuate folded-back part 52b, and the other-side arcuate folded-back part 52a are repeatedly connected between the one sidewall 14 and the other sidewall 15, is provided with a plate-like body 80 which cuts off the flow of combustion exhaust to project between the other-side arcuate folded-back parts 52a, 52a adjoining each other in the back and forth direction. |
