METHOD OF DISPLAYING POINTS OF INTEREST

PURPOSE: A point of interest (POI) display method is provided to improve a POI display of a navigation device. CONSTITUTION: A POI display method is as follows. A perspective view map of a geographic area is displayed on a display (14) of a navigation device (10). POIs are displayed on the perspective view map with graphic symbols. The sizes of the graphic symbols depend on the distances from a view point of the perspective view map to each POI so that the graphic symbol far away from the view point is displayed smaller in comparison with the graphic symbol close to the view point. Each of the POIs is related to POI categories. Each of the POIs is allocated in the POI categories in which display colors are different. The graphic symbol which is smaller than the minimum size set in advance is displayed with the display color of the POI category related to the POI of the graphic symbol.
