PURPOSE: Semantic network based contents search recommendation device and method are provided to easily search contents similar to contents viewed by a user by providing search key words using related knowledge information of viewed contents in a smart television in advance. CONSTITUTION: A viewing history archive (130) stores a viewing history of a user. A mobile device (110) receives a user command and transfer the command. A smart agent server (140) extracts contents from the viewing history by responding to the user command and outputs knowledge information corresponding to the contents name. A search recommendation server (150) searches the knowledge information about the contents name in a contents knowledge information archive (160) and transmits the searched result to the smart agent server.
