<p>The device (103) has a cutting assembly (101) including a cutting unit e.g. saw blade (105), for cutting an insulation blanket, and a lubrication unit for lubricating the cutting unit, where the blanket is made of powdered material and fibrous material. The lubrication unit comprises a tank (125) containing water or aqueous mixture with glue. A cutting guide (113) is integrated to the cutting assembly. The powdered material is selected from carbonate particles, fumed silica particles, precipitated silica particles and silica aerogel particles. The aqueous mixture is selected from vinyl dipolymer glue, adhesive comprising terpene resin optionally associated with stabilized gum rosin and emulsion alkyd stabilized gum rosin based on vegetal fatty acids. An independent claim is also included for a method for cutting an insulation blanket.</p> |
