PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for improving the performance of a sulfide removal apparatus are provided to maximize desulfurizing efficiency by contacting an oxidizer with a desulfurizing catalyst to be regenerated using a venturi device. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for improving the performance of a sulfide removal apparatus includes a main reactor(10), a catalyst regenerator(20), and a catalyst supplying unit(40). The main reactor oxidizes sulfide by contacting anaerobic digester gas or filled-ground gas containing sulfide with a reacting solution containing a desulfurizing catalyst in order to oxidize the sulfide. The catalyst supplying unit regenerates the desulfurizing catalyst by contacting the desulfurizing catalyst with an oxidizer using a venturi device(30) and discharges a part of the desulfurizing catalyst as a waste catalyst. The oxidizer contains one or more of air, oxygen, ozone, or hydrogen peroxide. The catalyst supplying unit supplies the desulfurizing catalyst. |
