The method involves posting representation of a side trajectory and a vertical trajectory on a single display screen (101). Three-dimensional (3D) positions representation of implementation of sequential display moves from a position to another position when the display representation of the vertical trajectory precedes by displaying the representation of the side trajectory, or from the latter position to the former position when the display of the representation of the side trajectory precedes by displaying of the representation of the vertical trajectory. An independent claim is also included for a display device for sequentially displaying a two-dimensional (2D) representation of a vertical trajectory and a trajectory side on a single display screen placed in a cockpit of an aircraft.
