PURPOSE: A stun proxy server and a SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) communication method using the same are provided to efficiently perform network communications by using a SIP protocol in various NAT environments. CONSTITUTION: A public address detection unit(110) detects a public address of a client agent(200) according to a query message of the client agent. A message transceiving unit(120) transmits and receives messages. The client agent generates the query message for acquiring a public address in a SIP request message generating unit(210). The client agent changes a via address of a SIP session setup message into the public address in a via address updating unit(220). A network address translator(300) changes a private address of the session setup message into the public address in a private address change unit(310).
