PURPOSE: A hood latch assembly is provided to absorb a shock applied to people by isolating a hood from an engine room at a predetermined gap by detecting personal injuries. CONSTITUTION: A hood latch assembly(100) comprises a housing(110), a latch(120), a pole, a safety lever(150), and an active unit(160). The housing is fixed to a vehicle body for supporting a hood latch assembly. The latch is installed at a housing for restricting or disencumbering a first striker(130a). The pole is rotatably installed in the housing for restricting or disencumbering the latch by rotating. The safety lever is rotatably installed in the housing for restricting the first striker. The active unit is arranged in between the safety lever and housing to be partially movable. The active unit pressurizes and moves the first striker according to an external signal. |
