PURPOSE: A lateral vegetable cutter is provided to minimize a disturbing factor when discharging the vegetable after cutting by minimizing the width of a driving device while increasing the speed of a round cutter with stable rotating ratio. CONSTITUTION: A lateral vegetable cutter comprises a cutting device in an upper part of a collecting chamber inside a body (1). The cutting device installs a rotary table (3) with a round hole (31) in a driving shaft (21) of a gear box (2). The cutting device is positioned inside the collecting chamber and a motor (M) is positioned to the outside of the collecting chamber and connects by a container shaped chain or belt. The gear box drives a driven gear, an idle gear, and a driving gear equipped in the inside. The driven gear includes a driven shaft in which a round cutter (4) is mounted. A hollow shaft with a chain wheel receiving the power of the motor is formed in a lower part.
