PURPOSE: A system for controlling vehicle pass in a high-pass section and a method thereof are provided to control generation period of a probing signal of a high-pass terminal by comparing measured entering speed of a vehicle with a pre-established threshold value by measuring the entering speed of the vehicle in the high-pass section. CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling vehicle pass in a high-pass section includes a detection unit (110), a probing unit (130) and a control unit (140). The detection unit detects the speed of a vehicle comprising a high pass terminal entering the high-pass section using a loop sensor or a terrestrial magnetism sensor installed in each traffic lane. The probing unit generates a probing signal to detect the high pass terminal. The control unit compares the detected speed of the vehicle with a pre-established threshold value. If the speed of the vehicle exceeds the threshold value, the control unit controls the generation period of the probing signal to be a high speed period. If the speed of the vehicle is below the threshold value, the control unit controls the generation period of the probing signal to be a basic period.
