PURPOSE: Coin sorting and packaging apparatus is provided to sort and package coins in a single piece of apparatus and to complete the sorting and packaging of coins through one process, thereby improving user friendliness. CONSTITUTION: Coin sorting and packaging apparatus comprises a coin sorting unit (110) which includes a detection part which detects the denomination of coins and counts coins by denomination, and classifies coins stored in a hopper and guides the coins to each denomination route, at least two sorted coin ejecting units (200) which temporarily store coins sorted by denomination and accepted through a connection between an inlet and each denomination route, and eject the same number of coins as a packaging unit, a coin packaging unit (300) which is capable of moving back and forth in the arranged direction of the sorted coin ejecting unit, a driving unit (400) which moves the coin packaging unit to selectively connect to one outlet out of the sorted coin ejecting units, and a control unit (600) which sends a signal to move the coin packaging unit to the driving unit in order to connect the coin packaging unit and the outlet of the sorted coin ejecting unit which stores relevant coins when the number of the relevant coins counted by the detection part becomes the same as that of a packaging unit of the relevant coins, and sends an ejecting signal to the sorted coin ejecting unit.
