PURPOSE: A method for designing and verifying diameter of a pipe for an ocean platform and a ship is provided to prevent loss due to an error by human error, by judging and informing conformity of inputted diameter through a program automatically. CONSTITUTION: Criteria for deciding material, case option, operating pressure, rating, flow margin and a reference value of pipe size, and input information and pipe diameter for pipe design including liquid density and vapor density/liquid flow and vapor flow/viscosity are inputted. Speed, pressure difference, density and an output value of speed characteristics value are calculated on the basis of the input value and then are outputted. If the output value is smaller than a reference output value stored for the input information, the pipe diameter is determined as conformity. If the output value is larger than the reference output value, the pipe diameter is determined as nonconformity.
