PURPOSE: A similarity measurement device of an image and a similarity measurement method are provided to reduce the usage of operator in the NCC performance, thereby lowering the hardware cost. CONSTITUTION: A first computation unit (210) calculates a digital value g(n) by multiplying a digital value b(n), which corresponds to the pixel included in a window of the comparative object domain of a first image, by a digital value t(n), which corresponds to the pixel included in a window of the comparative object domain of a second image. The first computation unit calculates a digital value P(n) by the summation of a digital value P(n-1) which is cumulated in the digital value g(n). A second computation unit (220) outputs the cumulated digital value A(n) of the one-dimensional window by subtracting the previous digital value P(n-M) from the output digital value P(n) of the first computation unit. A third computation unit (230) outputs the cumulated digital value S(n) of the second-dimensional window by subtracting the previous digital value A(n-N) from the digital value A(n) and by adding the cumulative digital value S(n-1) to the subtracted digital value.
