PURPOSE: An aramid fiber, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to manufacture without using a sulfuric acid solvent with high productivity. CONSTITUTION: An armid fiber comprises: aromatic poly amid having recurring unit of chemical formula 1. The aromatic polyamide comprises 2.4-3.0 of polydispersity index (PDI). A manufacturing method thereof comprises: dissolving aromatic diamine comprising substituted aromatic diamine whose benzene ring hydrogen is substituted for -CN, -Cl, -SO_3H, or -CF_3 in an organic solvent; adding aromatic diacid halide to the organic solvent at least as same molar amount as the aromatic diamine to obtain a polymerization solution comprising aromatic polyamide; extruding the polymerization solution through spinneret; and forming filament by passing the extruded polymerization solution through a coagulant. |
