PURPOSE: An environmentally-friendly retaining wall construction system and a construction method thereof are provided to safely construct a retaining wall and a bank as a prefabricated type by preventing scouring of the foundation ground. CONSTITUTION: An environmentally-friendly retaining wall construction system comprises a column block assembly unit (120) and a connection block assembly unit (130). The column block assembly unit is laminated by a plurality of column blocks (121). A penetration hole (122) is formed inside the column block, and an S-shaped connection unit (123) is formed along the outer circumference. The connection block assembly unit is laminated by a plurality of connection blocks (131). An interlocking unit (133) is formed on both sides of the connection block, and a hollow reinforcement unit (132) is formed on the center of the connection block. A column comprising a cone column and a cylindrical column is connected to the penetration hole.
