APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COOLING HOT PLATE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for cooling hot plates are provided to precisely control the cooling of the front and rear ends of thick plates easily deformed by overcooling, cooling irregularity, or staying water. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus (1) for cooling hot plates comprises an apparatus header (30) and a cooling water blocking unit. The apparatus header is arranged on a moving path of the hot plates and comprises multiple nozzle units (10) for injecting or spraying cooling water. The cooling water blocking unit is connected to the apparatus header and blocks at least some cooling water to control the cooling capacity of the apparatus header.
