<p>The present invention relates to a technology for displaying variable profile information along with a user name in an online game. A method of providing the variable profile information in an online game according to the present invention includes: determining, through a server for providing the variable profile information, whether variable profile information corresponding to the user name and which can be changed by the user exists in an online game played by a plurality of users who have connected to an online game server through a client and in which a counterpart may be selected from a user name list used by users who have connected to the online game; transmitting a menu for setting variable profile information that enables the user to set the variable profile information corresponding to the user name by using the client if there is no variable profile information; and displaying the variable profile information corresponding to the user name along with the user name of the client if the variable profile information and an input to display the variable profile information are received from the client through the menu for setting the variable profile information. According to the present invention, the variable profile information functions as a 1:n communication channel for a plurality of persons, and it is possible to display information that may be referred to in selecting the user name, such as a counterpart's condition.</p> |
