VERTICAL SHEAR CONNECTOR FOR PRECAST CONCRETE BRIDGE PIER

PURPOSE: A vertical shear connector for a precast concrete bridge pier is provided to improve adhesion and constructionability by the vertical shear connection of pillar part precast concrete to a U-shaped sheath pipe and coping part precast concrete. CONSTITUTION: A vertical shear connector (210,220) for a precast concrete bridge pier comprises a bottom steel plate (211), a top steel plate (213), and a sheath pipe connection part (215). One or more cast iron sleeve pipes (212) are protruded on the bottom steel plate. One or more studs (214) and a steel reinforcement sleeve are protruded on the top steel plate. The sheath pipe connection part is formed in the central part of the top steel plate and is connected to a pillar part longitudinal sheath pipe. The top and bottom steel plates are equipped with a male and female interlocking structure using the steel reinforcement sleeve.
