PURPOSE: A light-emitting diode driving apparatus is provided to reduce an amount of heat generation by limiting a current supplied to a light-emitting diode by comparing a voltage level of rectified electricity with a light-emitting diode current. CONSTITUTION: A detection part (120) detects a voltage level of rectified electricity. A driving part (130) controls driving of a light-emitting diode (LED). The driving part comprises a switch (131), a comparison part (132), a RS latch (133), a current detection part (134), and a power generation part (137). The switch is formed between a longitudinal terminal of a light-emitting diode part and a ground. The comparison part compares a detection voltage and a detection signal of a feedback current detected as a voltage. The current detection part detects a current level flowing through the light-emitting diode part.
