PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for sealing the axial periphery of a part easy to expose to external mud water, which is configured to prevent the entry of the mud water into the sliding part of an oil seal, when possible.SOLUTION: The sealing device includes the oil seal 10 mounted on an irrotational housing 2, and a slinger 20 mounted on a rotating body 5 inserted through the inner periphery of the housing 2 in the state of being located on the axial outside of the oil seal 10, and the oil seal 10 is formed with an oil resistant seal lip 13 in slidable close contact with the outer peripheral face of the rotating body 5. On an outer-diameter flange 11a mounted on the housing 2 in the state of being located on the outer diameter side of the oil seal 10 and developed in the radial direction, a seal ring 30 is held outside of the oil resistant seal lip 13 in opposition to the slinger 20 with an axial clearance G, while being elastically energized toward the slinger 20. |
