PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing coated paper for printing, which is superior in operability, and produces coated paper having superior white paper glossiness and surface smoothness and also superior printability such as print gloss and receptivity.SOLUTION: In the method for producing the coated paper for printing, which has at least one or more layers of a coated layer that is formed on per side of a base paper and contains a pigment and an adhesive as a main component, light calcium carbonate having a needle shape, of which the particle diameter (D) of 50 vol.% of a particle size distribution curve is 0.2-0.7 μm and a ratio of the particle diameter (D) of 90 vol.% to particle diameter (D) of 10 vol.% (D/D) is 8 or smaller by a laser diffraction method, is contained as the pigment of the coated layer that comes in contact with the base paper. The coated layer is applied by using a coating apparatus of a film transfer method. |
