PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having excellent fixability when a toner image is fixed on a recording paper and an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device.SOLUTION: A fixing device 12 comprises: a fixing belt 124; a fixing roller 121 and a heating roller 123 for stretching the fixing belt 124; a pressure roller 122 for bringing the fixing belt into press-contact with the fixing roller 121 through the fixing belt 124. In addition, in the fixing belt 124, a belt elastic layer 124b formed on the surface of a belt base material 124a is set to have a JIS A-hardness of 20 degrees or less and a belt release layer 124c, which is formed on the surface of the belt elastic layer 124b and in contact with a toner image 127b on a recording paper 127a, is set to have a thickness of 10 μm or more and 15 μm or less. Further, a fixing nip part 12a is set to have a surface pressure of 1.2 kgf/cmor more and 3.0 kgf/cmor less. |
