PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize an increase in the number of files to be managed, even when the number of times that video is recorded is increased.SOLUTION: Following the BDMV-s standard, a BDMV directory is arranged below a Root directory. Additionally, following a format based on the BDMV-s standard defined so as to arrange directories for PLAYLIST, CLIPINFO, and STREAM below it, a file is formed and recorded on a recording medium. One PlayItem is formed for each of the separations of scenes of an obtained video. A format is formed so as to arrange a plurality of PlayItems in one PlayList datum. Following the format, the video is recorded on the recording medium. |
