PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle riding type electric vehicle facilitating insertion of a plug while preventing intrusion of rainwater or dust into a receptacle.SOLUTION: A saddle riding type electric vehicle 1 is provided, which includes: a storage chamber S1 provided at the vehicle 1 and with an opening; a receptacle 53 stored in the storage chamber S1 and provided with a connection port 54 in which a plug 55 is inserted and removed; a guide part 88 stored in the storage chamber S1 and provided around the connection port 54 at a position separated from the connection port 54; and a lid part 29 covering the receptacle 53 and the guide part 88 and capable of closing the opening. The guide part 88 includes a recess into which at least a portion of the plug 53 is fitted or a protrusion and a guide surface extended from the recess or the protrusion toward the connection port 54 and guiding the plug 55 to the connection port 54.
