PURPOSE: An anticancer composition containing an Adonis amurensis extract or an effective compound thereof is provided to have a treatment effect in lung cancer, gastric cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer, and liver cancer, and to be manufactured in a pharmaceutical composition or a food composition. CONSTITUTION: An anticancer composition contains an Adonis amurensis extract, a compound of chemical formula 1, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The extract is prepared by dipping Adonis amurensis in water, ethanol, or a mixture solvent thereof. The cancer includes lung cancer, gastric cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer, or liver cancer.
