PURPOSE: A method for hardening the surface of aluminum or an aluminum alloy is provided to improve hardness and abrasion resistance of a molded body by sintering the molded body under atmosphere containing a small amount of oxygen. CONSTITUTION: A method for hardening the surface of aluminum or an aluminum alloy is as follows. Aluminum powder or aluminum alloy powder is mixed with PCA(process control agents). A molded body is produced by milling and pressing the mixed material and sintered under atmosphere containing oxygen. The size of the aluminum powder is 1-500 micrometers. |
