PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding mechanism which can improve abrasion resistance on sliding surfaces facing via a lubricant.SOLUTION: In the sliding mechanism 3 where the lubricant 5 is interposed in the sliding surfaces 4 formed by a first sliding member 3a and a second sliding member 3b, a manganese phosphate film 3a and a manganese phosphate film 2b are formed on the respective sliding surfaces 4 of the first sliding member 3a and the second sliding member 3b, and a plurality of recesses 1 are formed so that a ratio of a volume of entire recess with respect to a sliding area becomes 4.4X10to 7.6X10in the sliding surface 4 of the first sliding member 3a.
