PURPOSE: A lubricant for a wire rope using natural asphalt is provided to reduce the friction and the abrasion of a rope by preventing the easy attachment of dust. CONSTITUTION: A lubricant for a wire rope using natural asphalt contains 20-50wt% of gilsonite, 10-40wt% of petroleum asphalt, 30-50wt% of lubricant base oil, 1-5wt% of rust preventive, 100-500ppm of antifoaming agent, less than 5wt% of polymer, and less than 3wt% of polyphosphoric acid. The gilsonite contains more than 50wt% of asphaltene. The polymer is thermoplastic elastomer. The polymer is mixed with aromatic oil(S11). The gilsonite and blown asphalt are also mixed with the aromatic oil before adding the polyphosphoric acid(S13, S15). |
