The embodiments of the present invention relate to a random access initiation notification method, a random access resource notification method, a data transmission resource notification method and a master base station. The random access initiation notification method includes: a master base station receiving a first notification message from a source device, the first notification message indicating the data to be transmitted by the source device to a destination device; the master base station sending a second notification message to the destination device, the second notification message indicating to the destination device to initiate random access toward the source device. The embodiments of the present invention avoid the user equipment monitoring the physical downlink control channel instruction on each base station.
