PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically make a program for forming a joint without defective machining in an automatic programming device of a laser beam machining apparatus.SOLUTION: An intersection of approaching and receding is calculated based on set values regarding the approaching and the receding. Whether the intersection is present or not is determined based on the calculated intersection of the approaching and the receding. If the intersection of the approaching and receding is determined to be present, the values for the approaching and receding are set again and corrected so that the approaching does not intersect with the receding.
