PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure tension distribution even when non-uniform distortion in a width direction is obvious partially in a band-like body.SOLUTION: An oscillation load is applied to a band-like body 1 which is supported at two spots in a length direction by support rolls 2a, 2b, by an oscillation load applying device 3 and resultant oscillation displacement is measured at a plurality of measuring points 1a in a width direction by a displacement gauge 4, and modeled into a two-dimensional multi-mass-point model including a linear spring simulating a tension acting on nodal points corresponding to the measuring points 1a, regarding the band-like body 1, and a rotary spring simulating flexural rigidity in a width direction at the nodal points. Such pring constants of the linear spring and the rotary spring are calculated that a peculiar oscillation number and oscillation mode at each nodal point obtained from eigen-value analysis of the multi-mass-point model are matched with a peculiar oscillation number and oscillation mode obtained from the oscillation displacement measured at each measuring point 1a. The calculated spring constants are converted into a tension value and a flexural rigidity value, thereby measuring the tension distribution of the band-like body 1. |
