The present invention provides a sirtuin activator in which the active ingredient is black turmeric or black turmeric extract, which is easily procured and very safe, and has been consumed since antiquity. The present invention also provides a sirtuin activator in which the active ingredient is a polyalkoxy flavonoid compound represented by general formula (I), which has a sirtuin activation action at least ten times as strong as that of resveratrol. (In the formula, R1 to R7 each independently represent a C1-6 lower alkoxy group, a hydrogen atom, or a hydroxyl group.)
