A power converter module for a power converter includes a baseplate and a reverse conducting power semiconductor device carried on the baseplate. Plural of the power converter modules are connected in a circuit as a power converter, to power a motor or other load. In other aspects, a power converter includes two or more reverse conducting power semiconductor devices. The reverse conducting power semiconductor devices are mounted in pairs on top of one or more common heat sinks and encapsulated in one or more housing units. A cooling medium may be supplied to the housing unit(s). |
