PURPOSE: A construction method for a partially anchored cable-stayed bridge using a tensional member and a lateral anchoring block is provided to reduce the sectional area of a main span deck segment by reducing the size of maximum compressive stress applied to the section of the main span deck segment. CONSTITUTION: A construction method for a partially anchored cable-stayed bridge using a tensional member and a lateral anchoring block comprises the following steps: separately installing first and second main towers and separately installing first and second anchorage to a lateral span side; connecting first lateral span deck segment and a first main span deck segment using a compression cable; separately connecting a tensional cable extended from the first and second anchorages to second and third main span deck segments; installing lateral anchoring blocks (500) in the lateral sides of the second and third main span deck segments; and mounting a tensional member (430) in between the lateral anchoring blocks for tensioning and anchoring.
