Provided is a touch-panel unit wherein the surface of an insulating case that positions and supports a glass substrate that supports a transparent sensor electrode is made seamless, with no gaps, making the touch-panel unit water-resistant and allowing continuous input. When injection-molding a molded support using a transparent synthetic resin, a glass substrate is insert-molded into said molded support such that the entire flat surface of the glass substrate and at least part of the perimeter thereof are covered by the aforementioned transparent synthetic resin, and the molded support, part of the outer surface of which forms the surface of an insulating case, is molded such that said molded support and the glass substrate, which supports a transparent sensor electrode, form a single piece with the glass substrate embedded inside the molded support. |
