PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method that start a low-electric-power automatic scanning mode during a period of inactivity.SOLUTION: Disclosed is the system and method for autonomously scanning a sensor panel device like a multi-touch panel. In an embodiment, the system and method disable a sensor panel processor after a time of first predetermined length passes while the sensor panel device senses none of events. One or more system clocks can be disabled so as to save electric power. While the processor and one or more system clocks are disabled, the sensor panel device can autonomously scan the sensor panel periodically as to touch activity. |
