Asphalt pavement can be stripped efficiently with small electric power without generating large vibration nor noise and handled in a block-shape. Lower surface of an asphalt pavement (22) is melted by means of an electromagnetic induction coil (36) located above the asphalt pavement (22) provided on a steel plate (12). A heat conductive wedge-shaped stripping member(60) having a strip layer (70) formed on the upper surface is inserted into a molten layer (74) on the lower surface of the asphalt pavement (22) thus stripping the asphalt pavement (22) from the steel plate (12).With such an arrangement, the asphalt pavement (22) can be stripped with small electric power, and the stripped asphalt pavement (22) can be handled in a block-shape.
