PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine in which washing performances are improved in a whole washing process with a centrifugal force washing step.SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine includes: a rotary drum 3 rotatably arranged in a water-receiving tub 2; a motor 4 for driving the rotary drum 3; water-supply means 11 for supplying water into the water-receiving tub 2; water draining means 6 for draining washing water in the water-receiving tub 2; a circulation pump 10 for circulating washing water accumulated in the water-receiving tub 2; and control means 14 for controlling the motor 4, the circulation pump 10, the water-supply means 11 and the draining means 6, and controlling a washing process. The washing process includes: a centrifugal force washing step in which the rotary drum 3 rotates at such a rotational frequency that the centrifugal force of the rotary drum 3 is greater than the gravity force; and an agitating step in which the rotary drum 3 rotates at such a rotational frequency that laundry falls down in the rotary drum 3 after the centrifugal force washing step. The control means 14 is configured to operate the circulation pump 10 when the centrifugal force washing step is completed. |
