PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a power detection circuit.SOLUTION: An RF power amplifier includes an RF amplification circuit 11 and a power detection circuit 14. The RF amplification circuit 11 executes power amplification of an RF input signal Pin having a predetermined frequency band to generate an RF amplification output signal Pout. An input of the power detection circuit 14 is connected to an output of the RF amplification circuit 11, and the power detection circuit 14 detects a harmonic component having a harmonic frequency that is an integral multiple of the frequency of a fundamental component of the RF amplification output signal and the power detection circuit 14 generates a detection signal indicating a signal level of the fundamental component of the RF amplification output signal at an output terminal. The power detection circuit 14 has an input circuit C1, SL1 which detects the harmonic component, and an output circuit SL4, R1 which generates the detection signal at the output. The input circuit C1, SL1 also functions as a harmonic termination circuit (2HDT) connected between the output of the RF amplification circuit 11 and a ground potential GND. |
