PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system which performs contrast evaluation considering an optical system band.SOLUTION: An image input unit 210 acquires an image and outputs the image to a storage unit 220. The storage unit 220 temporarily stores the input image. A cut-off frequency acquisition unit 251 acquires an optical system cut-off frequency on the basis of optical system parameters and outputs the frequency to a parameter determination unit 256. The parameter determination unit 256 determines a contrast evaluation parameter on the basis of the cut-off frequency and outputs the parameter to a contrast evaluation unit 260. The contrast evaluation unit 260 acquires an image from the storage unit 220. The contrast evaluation unit 260 calculates a contrast evaluation value of the image on the basis of the contrast evaluation parameter and outputs the value to a focus evaluation unit 270. The focus evaluation unit 270 evaluates the focus of the image on the basis of the contrast evaluation value.
