PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary damper capable of efficiently suppressing vibration transmission, and an image forming device having the rotary damper.SOLUTION: The rotary damper 70 transmits drive torque applied from a motor to a photoreceptor drum. The rotary damper 70 includes first and second viscoelastic bodies 75, 76. Each of the first and second viscoelastic bodies 75, 76 is compressed or extended by receiving transmitted force (first and second transmitted forces) along a circumferential direction around a rotary shaft 71a of the photoreceptor drum 13. In addition, the first and second viscoelastic bodies 75, 76 are arranged in series along the circumferential direction. Further, a first elastic coefficient and a first viscosity coefficient of the first viscoelastic body 75 are increased as a repeat count is increased, and meanwhile, a second elastic coefficient and a second viscosity coefficient of the second viscoelastic body 76 are both decreased as a repeat count is increased. |
