PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive capable of reducing the processing time of actuator control finely adjusting the position of the objective lens of an optical pickup in an optical disk drive.SOLUTION: The optical disk drive: restricts bandwidth by a servo compensator to digital signals of a tracking error signal and a focus error signal calculated and formed from a signal read out from an optical disk to provide predetermined response characteristics to the digital signal; converts the digital signals into a PWM signal in a PWM converter; and supplies the PWM signal to a driver part without passing through a DAC to perform actuator control. Signal processing clocks having a frequency relation of integral multiple respectively and phase-synchronized are supplied to the servo compensator and the PWM converter on the basis of a sampling frequency of the digital signals. A carrier frequency of the PWM signal formed in the PWM converter is equal to the sampling frequency of the digital signals. |
