PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic register for enabling an operator to simply input a troublesome entry when performing a key input in the case that a merchandise master corresponding to a read barcode has not been registered.SOLUTION: An electronic cash register includes a reading part for reading a barcode relating to merchandise, a master reference part for checking whether or not merchandise information corresponding to the read barcode has been registered as a merchandise master, an input part for receiving an input of an entry predetermined as a merchandise master in the case that the merchandise mater has not been registered, a master registering part for registering the inputted entry as a merchandise master corresponding to the barcode, and a character recognition part for reading a character and recognizing the character, wherein the input part receives the character recognized by the character recognition part as an input. |
