The present invention relates to a carbon dioxide absorbent composition comprising a regeneration promoter containing an active component, a support, and two or more materials selected from the group consisting of titania, zirconia, alpha-alumina, vanadium sulfate and manganese oxide, and a preparation method thereof. According to the present invention, the CO2 absorbent has excellent physical properties such as packing density, abrasion resistance and the like, and regeneration performance such as a CO conversion rate and a CO2 absorption ability, and thus can effectively collect and separate carbon dioxide contained in a synthetic gas of fossil fuel.
