Provided is a polarizer protective film that has the excellent moisture resistance and high transparency of a polypropylene resin film while having high adhesiveness with respect to hydrophilic adhesives such as polyvinyl alcohol adhesives. The polarizer protective film is a laminated film laminated on at least one surface of a polypropylene resin substrate film so that the surface layer is an adhesion-improving layer formed from an acid-modified resin composition that contains a polyolefin resin as the primary component and that comprises polar groups. The polarizer protective film is characterized in that the retardation thereof as measured at 550 nm is 100 nm or less.
