<p>Provided is a tin-oxide refractory wherein: volatilization of SnO2 in high-temperature zones is inhibited at an early stage; and said refractory exhibits both high flexural strength in high-temperature zones and a high degree of corrosion resistance with respect to glass. SnO2 and ZrO2 are required components of this tin-oxide refractory; together, SnO2 and ZrO2 constitute at least 70% of the mass of this tin-oxide refractory; and the ZrO2 content of this tin-oxide refractory is 11-30 mol% of the combined SnO2/ZrO2 content thereof.</p>
